Deprescribing #99, Ty Gipson, No Options Mindset
Living with Type 1 diabetes and having undergone three organ transplants, Ty has faced extraordinary physical and emotional challenges. At one point, his daily routine included taking as many as 60 pills—each with its own side effects—giving them a deeply personal understanding of how overwhelming complex medication regimens can be.
Despite these obstacles, he built not one, but two thriving businesses while managing his health. His journey is a powerful testament to resilience, self-advocacy, and the importance of carefully navigating and even reducing medications when possible.
He brings what he calls a “No Options” mindset—a perspective shaped by decades of choosing to move forward, no matter the circumstances, while balancing life, work, and family.
Ty will share insights on managing health challenges, staying resilient in the face of adversity, and approaching life’s setbacks with confidence and optimism.
