Deprescribing #76 Amanda Whittemore, End of Life Doula
Amanda Lea Whittemore is a holistic wellness coach, yoga teacher, permaculture designer, and spiritual guide whose teachings are rooted in indigenous wisdom passed down through generations. Since 2008, she has been sharing the practices of Geometric Yoga, holistic wellness, and permaculture design—drawing from the sacred lineages of Patagonian shamans in Argentina, native teachers in Thailand, and indigenous traditions of Costa Rica, Mexico, and beyond. Her studies, often in native languages, have attuned her to an intuitive understanding of healing that transcends words, blending music, movement, nutrition, and spiritual practices into a path of self-healing and wholeness. Amanda’s journey has also been shaped by her devotion to authenticity, learning from teachers outside institutional systems, and later earning her 200RYT at Yandara Institute to bridge these practices to Western audiences. In addition to her healing and teaching work, Amanda is a Death Doula and founder of Peaceful Support, offering hospice care for conscious families, as well as the creator of Geometric Yoga.
